Published on: 30th July, 2024

Emerging in a splash of purple, red, green, and white - from an area steeped in football history - the Dockers entered the league in 1995 as WA’s second club. With West Coast’s shadow looming large, and list-build challenges that still hurt today, Fremantle was determined to push the boundaries and beat to their own drum.

In this fifth episode of AFL Team Builders, inaugural leaders David Hatt (CEO), Gerard Neesham (coach) and Ross Kelly (chairman) take you inside the formation of the Dockers.
